This, but they should have called it quits at least a decade ago.

They left it too late.

Paul's voice is absolutely shot and Ace's performances have deteriorated...couldn't see:

A) Ace and Peter sharing a stage with Tommy and Eric in their make-up

B) Paul/Gene de-legitimising the "scab" lineup by having it just be the 4 originals

C) Ace and Peter playing along to a track the way KISS do now

D) a proper live performance would be a train wreck for sure

Yeah i dont know what it is with Aces playing deteriorating.

Will be intetesting if we see the Gene Simmons Band in Aus again.

 
I read Peter Criss's autobiography and he and Ace seem great but Gene and Stanley seem unlikable. Not sure if book is all true but it's an entertaining book close to The Dirt.

Gene Simmons (known rapist) inspired GNR to release merch including the metal AFD cross I bought.
Is Gene all bad? No.

But most rock merch ruins life. 

 
A.I. Frehley's back with a new album. His face looks like a latex mask.

The chorus is basically Supersonic by Oasis. Guaranteed that lazy fuck Ace did less than one day's work on this album.

I was recently at the Hard Rock at Universal Orlando for dinner and right next to my table was a 70s era Peter Criss costume and Vinnie Vincent's original handwritten notes for Unholy. I think there was something from Eric Carr too. Vinnie seems like the kind of guy to donate every thing he ever scribbled.

My KISS hot take is that Music From The Elder is a good album and it only has one truly bad song. Just A Boy. Unfortunately the remastered version from the 90s available on streaming services changes the tracklist so that this awful song kicks off the album. Which is probably part of the reason it leaves such a bad taste in people's mouth.

The original album started with the banger The Oath. Which is basically a Creatures Of The Night track before Creatures existed.

That's very cool.
I think that a lot of KISS fans like "Music From The Elder", especially the younger ones like me who came to it after the fact.
Gene's songs on it are all wicked, as is Ace's Darklight.
 
Eric Carr was an incredible singer. Did a great job replacing Peter on drums and should have been given the same amount of songs to sing in the studio as Peter. He's on fire here. Black Diamond is also the best Kiss song ever imo.

 
Not gonna lie, tears welled up seeing that.
I still can't believe Ace is gone.
He was pretty shaky performance wise those last few years but I'd just gotten used to him always being active.
