That's probably the one, though all the 70s covers are pretty iconic really.

Hot take: I don't like Destroyer half as much as everyone else seems to.

Not saying it's a bad record but there's a bit too much schmaltz for my taste.

That said, Sweet Pain is one of the great Gene songs.

I'm with you. Never been big on Destroyer...or the album cover, for that matter.

I used to love Flaming Youth but it fell off for me...

Still like Do You Love Me and despite being played out, Detroit Rock City is still awesome

Like so many of their songs, DRC is totally irresistible.

Can't say I've ever skipped it or turned it off, same goes for Duece, She, Parasite etc etc.

 
I used to find Detroit Rock City overrated as hell, and then one day it just clicked. Once you catch onto that drum groove that carries the song you realize how good it is. Fuckin masterpiece.

Pretty silly that they didn't include a remastered version without the minute long intro on the latest Destroyer box though.

I know you're a big fan of this album, but IMO it really doesn't suit Paul at all.

They're good, well performed songs etc etc, but I just can't buy into "depressed" Paul.

It suits Gene a lot better, Childhood's End is a real ear worm (if a bit repetitive)

 

I wish they didn't use tracks (when they do)...even with my feelings toward this lineup I've gotta say I enjoyed this.

 
Ha, I've never heard that before.

Dumb as a rock, but I love it. There's something about Ace's voice  that is irresistible, doubly so his guitar playing.

Rather than IWMFLY they should have done shout it loud instead.

KISS concerts doesnt work during the day, their concerts are best at night.

Seeing those little kids with the makeup on looked cool.
