Oh yeah. You have to turn off Bitlocker or something too. Did you figure it out? I watched a tutorial on YouTube and it took me like ten minutes.

Also you may need a new WiFi card or buy an adapter for like $7 on Amazon. A lot of those cards in laptops won't work with Linux because they don't provide drivers for Linux.

There's no learning curve with Linux. You can run Firefox, Discord, Steam. I even run OpenRCT. No problems. May want to look into an application manager. I'm not familiar with Mint. It may have one of its own. Basically a software repository where you can easily download and uninstall applications.

Mint is a relatively smooth transition from Windows. Ideally you don't have to use the terminal at all. It has its own app store, Wi-Fi card picked up immediately, even found my printer as soon as it got on my network.

Well I stupidly brought in a cat from outside so now we have three cats. He is obviously a house cat, but I am officially in crazy cat person territory.

I want to take him to the shelter but the rest of the family doesn't want me to.
