Saw them twice in May. Unique setlists with no repeats at all. Took a trip to Philly and saw Barry Manilow for his final tour inbetween the Metallica shows. Was a nice Memorial Day weekend.

My 6th and 7th Metallica shows and still got new songs I never heard live at both gigs. Lars also sounds much better now than he did years ago.

Anthrax is also great when you want to kill your roommate.

Or just punch the shit out of some cunt with a giant banker nose, and an overall annoying as fuck aura.

AR-15 the midget. Fuck, I hate Scott Ian. Horrible, horrible midget cunt with dinosaur-sized nose and eyebrows.

The only muscian who could rock a cool chin goatee was Dimebag.

Gay beach dad Hetfield, his pet chimpanzee and salaried wives/hangers-on out for a rad POSER KILLING metal date. METAL UP YOUR ASS!
The only reason why Newstead left.

Then you have these 2 fags in tbe band during their late 90s makeup/eyeliner era.

They look like gay actors in the 90s gay Robin Williams film Birdcage.

I knew they were done when they started with that shit. And "alpha male" James couldn't stop it. He went right along with the guyliner and short haircut shit, much as he's denied it afterwards. He got pulled along on the ego ride, even though I believe he was a nervous, introverted kid who his behind alcohol until Justice broke through. By the recording of the Black Album, he was much more confident and knew they were a successful band. And when guys are in that position, they only have people around them reinforcing how great they are. This fag shit was a terrible move by guys who didn't know they had an audience by the balls. They recovered, of course, put Pantera swooped in like a vulture and picked up so much of that audience at the time. Pantera's sales in the 90's for a band that heavy were insane, by the way.

I think they had to do something different with the black album otherwise each album would be sounding the same. Like Slayer.

I do like Load as a hard/blues rock album.

Load is currently tied with AJFA for my favorite Metallica album.

Bleeding Me is in my all-time favs. Tied with Battery, Blackened and Creeping Death

To be fair, wasnt the eyeliner just for some photoshoots and a trippy/artsy music video? It's not like they actually performed on stage or walked around in it on the daily (as far as I know. I could be wrong.)

Load is a great album. Reload is decent. They should have put the best songs on one album and released some others as B sides. Bleeding Me and Fixxxer are incredible song.

I think of those albums like the Chinese Democracy of Metallica. Experimental. Weird. But it grows on you. Bleeding Me is their Prostitute.

I'll take albums like this over their last two albums which have just been Death Magnetic rip offs. Some good stuff (Spit Out The Bone and Inamorta are epic) but very safe.

I liked Load for what it was a good hard rock album.

I agree with what @Johnny Ramonesaid in a metallica post previously, Metallica couldve/shouldve been the 90s Lynyrd Skynyrd.

I wish James would do a southern rock album. I really like the song Ronnie from Load. Their cover of Tuesdays Gone is also very good.

This is my favorite version of Battery. Gets me pumped every time. James vocals on this album are amazing (even if they may be touched up with studio magic)

Yeah, I agree with ya.

I'll go with Load or Reload these days over the Black Album or pretty much anything afterwards at this point.

I think they are doing the whole fast music because they are scared the fanbase will compare any stuff to St Anger.

I think they are generally embarrassed about that album, and dont want to be associated with it. Lars snare drum sound that sounds like a garbage can, and no solos from Kirk make it their Chinese Democracy album equivalant.

So, 72 Seasons was an AI effort, right? At least from the "songs" I heard. I gave up after listening to two of these shithouse Miles Dyson efforts.

Phoned-in Hardwired stems? I cannot detect any training from Metallica's good 80's shit. Your thoughts?

72 Seasons was fine. That's about all I've got for it. It doesn't have any standouts like Hardwired had but the good songs on there are fine.
