They missed the window and proceeded to bastardize the the songs by adding all those layers then copy and pasting vocals, instrumental and sound effects.

Axl is basically the deluded emperor with no clothes so it wouldn’t surprise me if he thought he still sounds good.

Saw a earlier show in 2016 foxboro night 1 and he sounded pretty good with rasp. Obviously not 2006 or during 80's or 90's.

Everything post 2016 had been a decline.

I can see how Axl was proved wrong but I doubt he was lying in 2002 about having songs. Better, ITW, TWAT should be enough.
 
Looking back I wish I had been able to catch an Axl/DC show instead of the underwhelming reunion show I ended up going to. Ac/DC is going to end up being the last worthwhile thing Axl Rose ever did. Since then it has been nothing but shit after shit.

Even with his declining vocals in 17, the LA 17 shows at the end of the tour should have been it, but since the end of 17, and with the whole reunion, its been just follow the money.
Axl still insists on doing 3 hour shows, and has no self-awarness on how bad his vocals are.
Like @GeraldineBailey post its hard to know whether hes cucking the fanbase to see how much he can get away with singing the way he does, or those meds of his has dulled his brain to the point he has no self-awarness.

I have said many times Axl Rose is the biggest troll in all of the Guns N' Roses community.

One thing i think you gentleman are forgetting is we got really good Axl vocals post 2016
