So Guns N' Roses perform Think About You for the first time in 20 years less then a week after Sheeeit Radio list adding Think About You to the setlist as a way to Save the GNR tour.

That it better suits Axl Rose's vocals and because it's a great Guns N' Roses song.

Is it just a coincidence or is Axl Rose a loyal listener to Sheeeit Radio ?

There is not much you can do when you have got a lead singer who couldn’t place in the top 5 at karaoke night in any bar in North America. Axl Rose is a fucking disgrace who needs to find some pride and retire already or show some humility and start lip synching.
 
They should hire some Filipino Guy who sounds like old Axl Rose and have him sing the songs. I would pay top dollar to see the classic AFD lineup with a different singer. Time to put The Fatman out to pasture. I can’t even imagine how embarrassing it must be for Slash and Duff to share a stage with The Fatman. Slash needs to demand equal pay to The Fatman. Team Brazil will give it to him too because they know Axl is totally finished as a live entertainer without Slash.

Always remember that Velvet Revolver in its early stages was originally proposed as a reality show like Rock Star: INXS where Slash/Duff/Matt would have auditioned singers to replace Axl every week on national television.

It could have been so much funnier, and Axl hatewatching from his couch was exactly what he deserved back then.

Instead, he got to con the world into thinking he was the next Beethoven.

Seems a bit too much of a coincidence, maybe Axl is using direct energy weapons to plant ideas in our minds.
 
I was hoping Axl would be "singing" TAY in his lower register, but nope its the mickey falsetto voice again. He sounds stupid.
Any GNR coverband would do better with their Axl version, than the real version we have here.

He lied to the fans and told them that the songs they were playing back in 2002 weren’t ones they were considering as singles. And The Blues and Madagascar sounded damn good so we all thought he must have this treasure trove of amazing songs which turned out to be bullshit. Single wise the best he had was Better which he squandered by releasing it two years after it had leaked. I also think whoever made the decision to release Chinese Democracy as the lead single should be shot. Releasing that piece of shit as a the first single was either pure sabotage or the person who made the decision is a total fucking retard.

I remember at one of the 2002 shows, Axl introduced "Riad N' the Bedouins" by apologetically saying "this is a song we like to play for fun"

I remember Zutaut saying Atlas Shrugged was potentially the first single. A glam rock November Rain.

With Better, If the World, TWAT, Catcher, Prostitute it must have felt like they had options in 2002 for epic videos.
 
2016 beside Axl/DC is overrated. Although I’m sure he sounded awesome in person.
I saw them live in 2018 and it was an obvious major decline but he still has some rasp (although it was very forced) at the crucial moments like the screams in WTTJ, Nightrain. I can’t say he sounded good at all but it sounded pretty good live. In 2022 when I saw them he sounded like dog shit. Of course it sounded better live than on a recording but you can’t cover fucking up with tempo with volume as you can do it with mickey mouse. And listening to recording was just painful and sad. However, there was just a one or two song when he couldn’t keep up with the tempo.

I listened to WTTJ from yesterday and during the second verse he was already off the beat.
I don’t believe it sounds good live. It can’t.
It’s not a matter of his tone, he sounds like he’s about to have a stroke.
Volume and being excited may make you not notice many issues but if the singer is off key, off beat, fat and mumbling through the lyrics it can’t sound any good.

I’m not going to their concert ever again because it’s basically a rip off. I wonder if Axl Rose is delusional, deaf or he’s laughing his ass off testing how badly he can perform still selling out stadiums. Or maybe he just don’t give a shit. Anyway, he’s not getting my money.
Sadly it doesn’t fucking matter because he still earns millions of dollars doing this shit.

He sucked when I saw him in Seattle on the reunion tour back in 2016. I guess he would sound amazing back then compared to now, but I remember being disappointed because he sounded pretty good in Houston which was only a few weeks before I saw them.

Axl is basically the deluded emperor with no clothes so it wouldn’t surprise me if he thought he still sounds good.

Combination of deafness and delusion, for sure. I forget what show it was, probably a couple tours ago now... he bitched about Queen's live albums because Freddie would dodge some high notes, while he (Axl) still hits the notes even if it's with a pathetically weak falsetto. So yea... he thinks for the most part, he's still killing it. :pepelol:

I have no doubt his hearing is beyond fucked, though.

Seattle 2016 was fine. Obviously not 2010 or Axl/DC but far from the abominations that would follow. He sang clean on a bunch of songs but there was still enough power in his voice that it worked.

I can't find it anymore, but Gene Simmons criticized GNR back in the 1980s, and an interviewer asked Axl about it.

Axl's response?

"Gene should remember how to sound like he did on the albums"
