I may be in the minority but i think Oh My God is one of Axl's strongest vocals ever. The distortion and effects take away from the songs vocals.

I heard Nothing the other day. At least I think it was. It could have been Perhaps?

Well Slash was fairly good - bit derivative maybe but he is good even when he phones it in. Not sure about the song itself! 

What kind of band is this band? Can you just picture the scene a few years ago? (Slash) ''hey Axe, when all things are considered let's just fuckin jam in a studio and make a kick ass Guns N' fuckin' Roses record'', to which Axl replies: ''I have hundred hours of instrumentals, beeps and farts leftover from 2000, so what you'll do is just solo over all that and we'll release a song - now and then - and we'll forget your notions of new albums''!

This stuff was recorded back in the days when the WTC was still standing and Numetal was the most popular music!!! 

 
I just cannot think of an analogy in the whole of music. Maybe the closest you'll get is Wilson and Smile but the analogy complete breaks down the closer you analyse it.

if we're going from "we can't have nice things", with all people involved still alive, then I think I can find analogies in movie

the terminator movies come to mind.

Arnold, Linda, Edward and even james cameron are all still alive. The simple thing to do was make a terminator 3 involving those people. They ended up switching edward furlong for a midget (nick stahl) and the T1000 for a trannie.

Harrison ford, same story. Exchange well loved characters with a feminist who's only job is to deconstruct the indiana jones myth

I'm sure I can find other examples if I dig deeper

So i was asked this in the Sheeeit radio thread my response was this 

The news was fast incoming a few weeks ago then nothing.

I believe the 2 sources who gave me the information and it's on me and only me if the june 6th release doesn't happen. I will not blame or burn my sources. 

I would be lying if i didn't say i was nervous. The Axl iem recording from Tokyo saying he hasn't recieved a marketing plan on the new songs is either good or bad. 

Good because maybe they're not telling him so he can't fuck it up.

Bad because it could mean a delay. 

June 6th has a lot of significance in the gnr world. 

June 6th 1985

40 year anniversary of Axl, Slash and Duff first show as guns n roses.

Which the current tour is named after the poster from that show.

June 6th was the date of the Paris show in 1992 the one they recorded.

June 6th was the day they trademark Stay of execution.

I for one won't blame you if this doesn't happen Friday.  We all know the history of the band in regards to delays and fucking up every release.  Hopefully no news is good news and they finally figured out how to keep something relatively quiet and out of bar room juke boxes before it's officially released.

I appreciate it.

Obviously the Axl iem recording confirms a release is upcoming.

My sources on this are very reliable and have a great track record. They were not involved with my state of grace being the general or Axl acdc reports. Those are on me.

I made sure to vet the information before posting or making Sheeeit radio videos about the information because i don't want to be wrong or mislead anyone.

I'm sticking with June 6th.

 
June 6 is when the European part of the tour starts so it would make sense to release something then, instead of some random date near the end of the tour.

But it's GNR. I wouldn't be surprised if we get a leak on June 6 - like Perhaps leaking early from a fucking jukebox app  :pepelol:  - but 'plans change, delays were out of our control, blah blah blah' and nothing happens.

Axl: refuses to do promo

Axl: "what is our marketing plan?"

It will end up being like Perhaps... Video, some t-shirts, 7" single. Maybe Slash and Duff tweet about it.

I guess the main reason they're playing Atlas and Nothing at soundcheck is to get video footage like they did with Perhaps. Soundcheck, backstage stuff and random slow-mo clips, there's the videos.
