Jesus healed a blind man. We should keep in mind, that many stories in the bible have different layers of meaning. There are many types of blindness, physically and metaphorically. Both can be true in this case.
"not a road I would take"
Jesus adviced many times, to take the narrow path in life, not the wide one where all the fools walk. Following in the footsteps of jesus is a difficult and hard road. Not one many would take.
"betray"
obviously jesus was betrayed by his own disciple Judas. Even peter rejected him three times (but was nevertheless made the cornerstone of the church).

jesus is still within us, if we listen. He's crying because of all the evil in this world.

as sinners, we fall from grace with jesus every day. But Jesus is loving us unconditionally, and he is forgiving.

you can view life as a phase on earth, where you have free will, with the option to chose the good path or the evil path.

evokes sentiments of the book of job. People who believe in god, when facing hardship in life, tend to question god, asking him, why did he desert them. Jesus asked the same question, at the cross. In Job, god answers to all the complaints. Faith thrives when it goes wrong in life. When everything goes great, we tend to slack in our faith. When it goes bad, we turn back to god for help. That's the circle of faith.

I thought Circus Maximus was supposed to be Seven? What about Elvis? Guitar wise, that is the best New GNR song since TWAT. And it flows nicely. There ain’t two minutes of weird noises before the solo kicks in.

Elvis is Soul Monster aka Leave Me Alone according to Axl Rose.
The bridge in "Elvis Presley and the Monster of Soul aka The Soul Monster (working title Leave Me Alone)" which will no doubt end up "Soul Monster".
I think it's our most Black Sabbath moment. Sang it on a Christmas eve. Imo the meanest section of anything I've sung to date. Which having said that I'm sure when it's heard others may disagree but we felt it was a Christmas card of unadulterated venom so to speak. I felt a lot better afterward. (Axl Rose , Here Today... It sucks that we will have to wait until Axl Rose dies before we get to hear that song with vocals. Structurally it sounds very similar to the Layla outro with guitars instead of piano. Do you think Axl’s saving it for a posthumous release because even he is smart enough not to let Old Gravy Biceps replace the guitars on it and ruin the song?

Seven is also a divine number. god created the world in seven days etc.
I think the lyrics are very beautiful. I hope that was their meaning. it would mean that, yep, he's one of the good ones.

I haven't been able to find anything that implies Light My Fire is not a doors cover song.
It seems odd though that Axl would want to have a cover song on cd2 but uyi 1 and uyi 2 had 2 cover songs in kohd and live and let die that were big singles for gnr so maybe that was the thought process.
