i think the first sign of the end of the golden age of mygnr was closing the attitude section. by that point everyone funny was on thegnrforum or GNFNR having been driven off by the abuse of power from a specific subset of mods.

Not really. The whole point of being a “girls’ girl” is adopting the opposite mindset.

Yes, women engage in gossip and reputation destruction, that’s hardly a new observation. But being a "girl's girl" is about choosing not to contribute to that. It’s about supporting other women instead of tearing them down, championing them rather than treating them as competition.

One definition from Urban Dictionary puts it fairly well: “A girl who has respect for female etiquette. A girl who is not petty and strives to be ethical and decent in her dealings with her female friends.”

So if a (wannabe) woman spends months harassing another woman, trying to damage her reputation, or making it a personal mission to bring her down, that’s pretty much the opposite of what the term is meant to describe.
