She's a good actress, but I still hate the character. Most men in this show are portrayed as rednecks or simpletons in one way or another. The way she constantly mouths off to men in the show, she'd have had her head smashed in early on in the first season.

Also, it bothers me that Laura Linney looks more like Jason Bateman's grandmother than his wife. Fuckin' old dry cunt. When she smiles, the world wrinkles.

Bloodline was good before it turned to total shit, quite quickly as I recall. Sissy Spacek is a real shit cunt.

I looked up The Perfect Couple. Nicole Kidman. Oof, no thanks. My dick doesn't need shark teeth marks.

I liked the show and it stuck the landing (the final scene) but it's probably the most extreme example of the Hick Lib phenomena where everything is coded as pro-liberal propaganda and even the message of the show is anti-capitalist. I can get on board with some of those ideas and messages but at a point it became parody. The black woman FBI agent, the Mexican woman sheriff, and so on. The only thing that is heterodox is the gay FBI agents are sociopaths and incompetent. 

To your point, I agree about Ruth. They went too far with her.

And you could argue that was the point as she sealed her fate by being over aggressive. 


It was entertaining but could've been better written and been a lean and focused 3 seasons but I respect them for not making it 6-8 like most modern garbage.

There's no danger of that. 

She does play a hatable character. All the characters are. Tag is classic. 
 

The main thing to dislike is just it's not a relatable world. 
 

A lot of these new shows seem shorter and resolve themselves in 8 episodes instead of flogging through 7 seasons. 
 

There's a lot of boats n hos shows.

Went back to watch some of the OG. This show should've ended in Season 1. It was untouchable. It's fun, well written, and young Jennifer Carpenter is so cute. 

I need to get laid.

She wasn’t in season 1 and I was mainly referring to her mousey face. But they definitely made her into an annoying caricature.

Dexter season 1-2 was awesome and it all went spectacularly downhill from there. 

 
South Park destroyed Trump last night. This of fucking course led to the goddamned White House releasing a statement about how unfunny and irrelevant South Park is. 

South Park has slapped our presidency with a glove, and they promptly accepted the duel. This is gonna get so out of hand.
