The Rolling Stones announce new album (featuring Charlie Watts)

Unheard songs are expected 6-12 months down the road in expanded editions.

This is probably how we get all the remaining songs from the Diamonds sessions.

It's 9PM here now. There's a listening party at my local record store at 11PM and then at midnight it goes on sale. It'll be a cool way to first hear the album. Probably getting a cd and a vinyl copy. Then tomorrow at 1PM this is opening 20 minutes from my house. Definitely going to check that out too.

Throw in Jumping Jack Flash and Paint It Black.
I'm trying to work out which one they have to live up to. They are all good. But it seems possible to do something similar.

Whereas other bands have songs which they will never top. Like SCOM or Freebird.

Stones fans seems divided on which dong or album is the best. Sticky Finger is great but Some Girls sold more. Some think Exile or Tattoo You.

Unpopular opinion.

The stones have some good songs on each album but theres no album where every song is a 10 out of 10.

Change my mind.

Listened to the new Stones album once so far, it's solid. Sweet Sounds Of Heaven is the standout but Depending On You, Dreamy Skies, Tell Me Straight and Rolling Stone Blues were nice too.

I’m gonna need more members of this disbanded 1980s hair metal band forum to post opinions on this album.

Sticky Fingers is pretty solid.
So is Beggars Banquet and Some Girls.
Let it Bleed is only 9 songs but all good.
Tattoo You is underrated.

It's about the same, but the Stones have never been that good. Like ACDC, Motorhead, Ramones, Oasis they just do what they do.

Stones don't really have one song that defines their career. Like GNR have a November Rain or Nirvana have Teen Spirit, maybe the Stones have Satisfaction.

Stones don't have a Stairway to Heaven to live up to.

paint it black

satisfaction

start me up

brown sugar (maybe a little less universally reckognized)

stairway to heaven is shit anyway, give me brown sugar any day of the week

  1. Whole Wide World
  2. Sweet Sounds of Heaven
  3. Depending on You
  4. Get Close
  5. Tell Me Straight
  6. Dreamy Skies
  7. Angry
  8. Mess It Up
  9. Driving Me Too Hard
  10. Live By The Sword
  11. Bite My Head Off
  12. Rolling Stone Blues

I can respect the last track but it’s out of place and it’s a cover so it’s ranked last on principle. Angry is catchy pop song but the second half needed more work. The album needs another long form song to tie the room together and the drumming could’ve been stronger but it’s a walk off home run.

never head a bad stones album (I've not heard undercover and dirty work), and this one is just a great one all around.

not afraid to shy away from hot chicks in their videos either.

more live and archival releases than you can shake a stick at...

stones fans have the best time in the world.

if you want to continue that trend, don’t listen listen to either of those
Emotional Rescue is pretty poor too. But even then all those albums still have some decent songs or redeeming features here and there. Neither is total garbage.
