I would say Monsters is the better song but that chorus in an abortion.

You can't fix the lyrics but I bet the Robin Finch version is at least one crab rangoon better.

When Axl plays characters in songs like Catcher, Shacklers, General, Rocket Queen it's hard to know what the song is saying.

It's like every song from the CD sessions.

If this was a B-side, or a thematic track on a concept album, it would be like whatever, it's a song, sort of, there are drums, and I think I hear a guitar. 

Axl doomed himself to be a critical failure, because every song gets crushed under the expectations of how he handled releasing (or not) releasing music from these sessions. Can you imagine if Appetite was some mythical album, and people discussed the mythical status of Out 2 Get Me? Deconstructing random Sebastian Bach quotes to create expectations that Out 2 Get Me is the sequel to Estranged.

I like all of those better than anything on chinese. Chinese was a massive disappointment to me, but maybe I'm too harsh. With these newer songs I expected nothing, I wasn't anticipating, and I like them for what they are.

It's far too little, too late however. I'm past the point of caring for this band, it's all become very pathetic. Most fun post the reunion were the rape allegations, but even those came and went like a wet fart.

They should start with a clean slate, try to get izzy back on board and write some great songs that are worthy of their legacy.
