My temporary crown fell out eating a Big Mac. I'm going to sue Big Tooth.

I had to order a pizza and drink a bottke of whisky to survive.

The new Stones stuff is too good

I'm suspicious , if they always had this , why did they waste 10-15 years of their career making shitty albums?

Ever since "Doom & Gloom"

I suspected

they are using AI

GnR should consider doing the same.

Anything's gotta be better than these shit quality Chin Dem demos with Slash cut n pasted on

When your talking about the general

And no one's released it

You can't fool yourself

You haven't got a record player

At all (at aaaaalll)

I'm flying to Miami in two weeks for the Dolphin game.  My biggest fear is the plane goes down before I hear The General.  My kids being orphans lands a close second.  Is there something wrong with me?
I reckon they wont play it live so you have nothing to worry about.

@EstrangedTWAT have fun at the San Diego gig and please do a review.

The Stones are putting the Fat Band to shame right now.

A better question would be why did they waste so much of the 21st century as a touring juggernaut with so little new material? They clearly still have gas in the tank.

I'm sure it's a combination of reasons but it's crazy and bittersweet that 80 year olds are doing material this good.

They could've done this at 70. Doom and Gloom kicked ass. Should've been the first single of an album instead of a bonus track on a compilation.

The Stones seem like they are on a quest to release the greatest Greatest Hits album of all time.

My bet is The General is an instrumental. Probably just a mess of Pitman farts with some Slash overdubs. No way would Rose release a vocal song that hasn't leaked to us. He isn't that generous.

Blue and Lonesome is top draw. One of my favourite Stones albums.
I really need to give this another listen. I was really disappointed with it when it was released. Many (including me) thought it would be their last album, which made it even worse.

It'll be a real song. The head scratcher is how they clearly don't give a shit about it and are flying it under the radar.

We've heard a (terrible quality) cell phone recording, it clearly has vocals. The real disappointment would be if it's similar to Absurd/Perhaps with verses repeating throughout the song, or is too long to fit on a 7" record without distortion. Those are the most likely ways for this song to disappoint, but I'm ready to be surprised by their ineptitude.

There's a rumor that the upcoming LP will have an exclusive release only available at K-Mart.

I saw on Evo they were talking about the fact that

the GNR Store already had to do what I guess would be

a Virtual Restock.

Meaning they Sold Out of however many 7"s they ordered initially.

This is why $$$$,

they are not releasing *The General"

$15 a pop ( price a full album or CD)

+ Magic 8 Ball, T-shirts, etc, etc

Its Just Anotha Ca$h Grab 💰💰💰💰

Fair point...but they're leaving a bit of money on the table by burying The General as a B side of the Perhaps single.

After Perhaps, they could've announced The General as a vinyl exclusive single and milked a few thousand sales out of hardcore GNR fans and vinyl enthusiasts/collectors/sellers.

There has to be a reason this is being buried with Perhaps and it's not money. It's something else.

We'll find out soon. :Classic_Troll:

It's not so much A side or B side maybe.

It's like getting back to real GNR sounding songs with Hard Skool and Perhaps.

And then two Axl /CD era songs that don't fill the rec comp or fanbase with that feeling.

Absurd was a good wtf ice breaker like It's So Easy. Slash worked miracles on that one.

They could easily double fist their way to 12 songs. But why bother?

They still have Atlas, State, Oklahoma,, Eye on You, Soul Monster, Nothing - add some b sides in there. Even instrumentals. But as Jagger said, it's good but is it great?

You can see the logic, you can chip those into a GH or bonus track or boxset down the line.

You could say CD was the end of the story arc of GNR. But does GNR really not end with a Axl, Slash, Duff album? GNR go out getting bummed by Korn? This isn't the rock history I signed up for.

I guess these days, Hard Skool was the final GNR album.

You have to hand it to GNR they know how to play it cool, calm and kind of respectful to older bands. Maybe when the boomer bands are dead there will be a window for a nostalgia release.

GNR are like Gen Xers riding the corruption of boomers success to the bank. When the apocalypse happens GNR will just inherit Aerosmith's promo money.
