Yeah I always viewed NIN as more of a 90s band, even though HLAH was released in 89.
I could see it released even if CD was released in late 90s/00. It screams nu-metal and released 10 years to early!.

Would LN suggest the band do package tours with other C list bands such as Def Leppard or Motley Crue?. Would Axl agree with this?.
If the band do a farewell tour there will be no Izzy, no adler, no sorum, and its going to be the same shit show they are doing now, and that will be your "farewell tour".
My prediction, but the end must be very close.

Live nation has already presented that option multiple times with Motley Crue offered twice. Each time Axl has declined.

All the bands that have opened for gnr in the last decade could co headline but would it make a difference if the Black Crowes, Alice In Chains or Lenny Kravitz did ?

Live Nation thinks Motley Crue, The Smashing Pumpkins or The Foo Fighters would is what i was told.

Axl should realise nostalgia is where its at. The band could have tapped into this with the AFD & Illusions anniversary with guest appearances from Izzy and Adler for the AFD anniversary and Izzy and Sorum for the illusions anniversary with big stage productions, which would have had much success as the original reunion.
Give the Gen-xers the nostalgia they want.
The fans have shit all care factor about Public Enemy as a support band, the wigger kids today listen to Kendrick Lamar.
With Faith No More touring in 2027 this would be appealing for co-headling tour with Metallica with FNM as support if Axl wants to put Slash on a tight Constipators touring leash during next year.
If Axl doesnt want to rely on nostalgia well the CD left over songs have not moved any needle into ticket sales.
We know hes not interested in doing a newly written album like slash and muff.
I actually thought Axl would channel his inner Gene Simmons and go full on nostalgia as he gets older, because this is where the touring money is and brings people through the arena/stadium gates.
Its time for nostalgia and give the fans what they want .
A co-headling GNR and Crue tour billed as the "The Fat Bad Boys Of Rock Tour" with a fat out of voice Vince Neil and Axl Rose and reduce the shows to 2 hours.
