Sebastian Bach was right when he compared Axl to George Lucas

Sebastian Bach was right when he compared Axl to George Lucas, though not in the sense of making an epic trilogy of albums. Like Lucas, The Fatman has gone back with the audio equivalent of CGI, and used it to ruin every song that he recorded with the original Chinese Democracy crew. I wouldn’t be surprised if he releases an all new version of Chinese Democracy with Old Gravy Biceps on it for the 20th anniversary in a few years. Looking forward to the new version of Street of Dreams that will surely now be called Dreamz.

Except George Lucas actually puts out his CGI remakes instead of burying his work. We know Axl re recorded AFD 25 years ago and until he dies it's never coming out. I would much rather get a re recorded AFD with Nuguns as a bonus disc than a butchered CD remake with Slash noodling over Robin & Buckethead's original parts. Maybe we'll get both but I doubt we get either.

We getting butchered copy and pasted, protool songs because Axl doesnt want to work on newly written material.
I cant see the logic of having current and older members (long johns robin) play on them?.
IF these were good enough to release why not have them recorded by the 11-14 band members and release them then?.
Unless UMG was against releasing anything without Muff and Slash?.

I could see Slash's 6 reworkings and ChinDem & Better studio versions being included in a CD Special Edition (2-cd Alternative Tracklisting)

The Reunion era is like when Disney took over Star Wars. Costanzo is the JJ Abrams and Hard Skool is like Han Solo and Chewy coming back in The Force Awakens.

Can we get one of your amazing Chinese Democracy alternate/shuffled tracklist posts for old times' sake?

Like where tracks 1 and 4 get swapped and all of a sudden it becomes the biggest selling album of all time...

If we never got a remastered version of TSI, i cant see how UMG will invest and do a repackaged CD album.
I would like CD to be rereleased as the Village leaks album with the bass turned up and not have Caram be involved.
You can't even get CD in the gnrmerch store!!!!.
I expect these songs to be on yet another expanded GH album, where UMG will break the track listing into 3 sequenced parts ,
AFD/Lies era
Illusions/TSI
CD (Better with the released singles).
It will be the final GH album.

Slash and Duff are like Han and Chewy stealing The Falcon back in The Force Awakens. Too much stress on the hyper drive.

Caram is the real deal. You have no clue how hard his job is. He has to take 1000 plus snippets of ideas & turn them into a song. Then he has to paste duffs incoherent "yeahs, & c'mons" in there in between Slash's noodling while trying to hide Axls 8-track recordings of vocals.

I will fist fight anyone who slanders Caram! 1920's style, like "put up your dukes!"

Costanzo is great on Shackler's, Scraped, Sorry, If the World.

It's really on the piano ballads like SOD, Catcher that the production doesn't help. I can get into Catcher going over the top, it's the peak of CD excess. IRS also blows a fuse but in a good way. CD is much tighter and skillful than the reunion singles which fall back on looser classic rock sloppiness. It's what everyone likes, it feels like emotion. Absurd and The General are the only songs that fit on CD. Replace Riad and SOD with those songs.
