Yeah 2010 is great after Canada. But Canada had the best stage setup that Axl wanted to use for the whole tour. In Asia 2009 they were basically building the stage with each show and it didn't fully come together until the end. So only some Asia shows and Canada got the proper stage with the concentric circles LED screen lighting rig. After Canada they kept the rig but it became stationary on the ceiling.
I saw 3 shows on UCAP. Front and center opening night at Roseland Ballroom (one of the only times that lineup opened with WTTJ instead of CD). They were good. But it wasnt 2010 level imo. Not even Philly comes close.

I'm puzzled why anyone on a GnR site would root for the band to fail. To possibly get a shitty leak you'll listen to a few times and then bury on your hard drive vs. your favorite band succeeding should be a no brainer. And the truth is we're probably not getting much until team Brazil inherits the rights to these unreleased songs. That's definitely not something anyone should be actively rooting for. It's sad to me personally that as a lifelong fan for 40 years I have little to no desire to see them live again. I took my three kids in 2023 that'll probably be the last time I ever saw them. I've been to a dozen or so shows since 2002 and have a lot of great memories of the first ten. The last two I felt embarrassed for Axl to see him struggle. It's not something anyone wants to see their childhood idols go through.

If I had to guess, the people who say that don't even really mean it. Just hyperbolic statements. And if the band released a great song or put on a great show they'd be the first to praise it.
It's like the Fat Axl memes. No one actually hates him (I hope). Its just funny.
I am rooting for them to fail because it is sad and pathetic watching Axl Rose go out there and embarrass himself and the band every night on stage. If he still needs the money, fair enough, but otherwise he should show some pride and retire. Dude has nothing left to give as either a singer or performer.

You're not wrong. If I hated the band I sure wouldn't waste my life on any of their "fansites". I'm here for what's left of the community and shitting on the band isn't something that brings me joy. Stuff like the Perfect Crime doc leak is something every fan should be very excited to finally get our hands on. But some people would rather just shit on anything and everything.

I don't see the point in rooting for them to fail at this point. Axl is not touring into his 70s, we're at the end of the road here. They have maybe 5 years of touring left? Unless they come back to Vancouver with another opening band I really want to see, this year will be the last time I see them, and that's fine.
