2022 Tour Thread

I'm so glad the band will return in 2023. Hopefully, they will tour other cities in Brazil next time, including favelas, the jungle, tranny alleys, and Rock in Rio 7 or whatever.

“Last night, we played a setlist, like, it was all over the place,” McKagan tells me. “‘I don't know, let's throw in this now!’ We're not playing the same thing, you know.” Alongside songs from all eras of the band, one of the treats for Gold Coast was a cover of AC/DC’s Whole Lotta Rosie, played for the first time on this tour.

“Sometimes we have to play the same set five nights in a row, but it's fine, you know, because it's a new crowd. But last night we played this wacky, killer set, songs were all over the place. And it was fun.”

The wacky, killer set:

01. It's So Easy
02. Mr. Brownstone
03. Chinese Democracy
04. Slither
05. Better
Link Wray's Rumble intro
06. Welcome To The Jungle
07. Reckless Life
08. Double Talkin' Jive
09. Live And Let Die
10. Estranged
11. Shadow Of Your Love
12. Rocket Queen
13. Whole Lotta Rosie
14. You Could Be Mine
Slash Guitar Solo (Albert King's Born Under A Bad Sign jam)
15. Sweet Child O' Mine
16. Wichita Lineman
17. I Wanna Be Your Dog
18. Absurd
19. Hard Skool
20. November Rain
21. Civil War (with Machine Gun outro)
22. Knockin' On Heaven's Door
23. Nightrain
Encore:
24. Coma
The Beatles' Blackbird intro
25. Patience
26. Don't Cry
27. Paradise City
This is probably the longest-used base setlist. The previous setlist(2009-2014) was also largely the same through the whole 5 years minus some CD songs being dropped and Estranged/Civil War added. The songs were also switched around more often

Yep the band are just fulfilling dates moved originally from Covid and have no interest in wanting to change anything.  Either that or the Europe tour really scarred them so no change = no fuckups.

They announced a UK festival date for next year, are they really going back to Europe again next year lol. This will never end

On the bright side we might also get OMG 2 as a single with Slash re-recording BBF's parts from the 2013 leak, just like Silkworms. And the media who shit all over the song the first time it was released can pretend it's the best thing since the Beatles because Top Hat is playing. Great times ahead.

"Oh My God" is so fucking old it would be classic rock at this point. It was released TWENTY-THREE years ago!!

OMG came out in 1999.  Imagine back in 1999 if a band re-released a song from 1976 and pretended it was "new."

Any "rock journalist" that was even around in '99 has probably either retired or died by now.  If they were to release the song as a single now, whatever retard zoomers are "rock journalists" now probably WILL consider it a new song, cause they were still shitting in diapers when the song was released!

Holy fucking shit, Axl sucks.

When I heard OMG, I thought Axl could pull of this New GnR thing, but the album that came 9 YEARS later didn’t sound like OMG.

Yep. Unless there is a new album i won't be seeing the most fat band in the world. Unless the album is a complete fizzer and a disappointment then fuck'em.
