Perfect Crime Documentary (5/6/1994) has leaked

This is the Icelandic director who filmed the 1993 concert footage and conducted the candid interviews, per the "Making of Estranged" credits:

Except it is not a really cool documentary. It is some crappy footage of burnouts near the end of their 3 year world tour. A once great band destroyed by drugs and the crazy antics of their mentally ill lead singer.

I would rather take Slashs guitar playing from the illusions tour on whatever drugs/drink he was on, compared to the noodling sterile playing he is today.
His guitar playing lost its mojo when he got sober.
While Duff looks he needs to go to a fat farm, its nothing compared to the mentally ill "i hate touring" clockwork orange Axl.
 
Meh, cool I guess, but I was never a fan of the 1993 performances. The November Rain snippet is pretty cool tho
 
I do like the footage of Axl in the studio and makes me wonder if there is any studio footage of them making the illusion albums, and further studio footage of recording TSI.
It would be interesting how much and what concert footage is being hoarded.

There was a rumor going around years ago that the 2002 VMA rehearsal footage came about because someone at MTV burned a DVD of all the GNR rarities they could find, and eventually it got out in the wild

Methinks the recent unedited Houston 1992 footage might be from that disc (discs?) - maybe the Perfect Crime VHS was laying around MTV's office and that was on there as well
 
Look up "Lost Media" - there is a subculture of collectors who dig through thrift stores and classified ads looking for old VHS and Beta tapes. Their goal is to find and release "lost media" that would otherwise never be seen again. It's a giant rabbit hole.

It isn't inconceivable that with stuff like this, someone who at some point had it in their chain of custody may have donated it or disposed of it with other VHS tapes or DVDs - not understanding the significance.

This isn't the exact same thing, but look at the Prostitute demo that was sold openly on eBay earlier in the year and purchased by a collector. The guy who sold it almost certainly didn't care or think "this is rare, unheard, and might appeal to collectors", it was just a guy who has a source for promos and sold it alongside his other promos. Same sort of thing.

Did that Prostitute leak? I vaguely remember hearing about it but can't remember if it came out.
