Unreleased Chinese Democracy Era Songs Definitive List & Information

Btw a friend of the community that will not be named shared few months back that Nothin' will have more finished never before heard vocals from Axl I’m guessing 2002-2004 and then Duff recorded a new part which we have now from the rehearsal mix.
Whomever this friend is most likely guessing. I would assume that nothing has more vocals but have seen not a thing to back it up factually except if the cd2 track list email was real. My guess is that what this friend of the community is basing his statement off of.

You take going down off the track list because Stinson was gone and replaced by Duff.

I think Zutaut said that CD II was about to come out before the reunion happened.

Other people too.
Ron also said he played on a bunch of "finished songs" not on CD.

He put a solo on Atlas and said a lot of songs sounded like Scraped. I think he meant production wise.

He said they all needed to be mixed and mastered.

Ron referred to it as CD 2 as well, so the idea of it being an album seems real. But they were as finished as CD was with Ron involved.

There's 4 Beltrami songs. Period.

Seven

Thyme

Soul Monster

The General

These were instrumentals that Beltrami was adding orchestration and melodies to in fall 2002.

There were zero vocals/lyrics for any of these songs in 2003 at the earliest...2007 the latest.

Yeah Seven was his favorite and according to the same article that mentioned it, Thyme was never worked on again after those sessions.

In other words, Thyme is another "big gun" hyped for years that's not even a big gun. Just an instrumental with potential.

Only way Thyme was finished is if he went back to it during that brief spell in 2007 he was working on the record. What are the chances of that? :Classic_Troll:

What you're referring to at the end is something that has yet to be properly explained by anyone...Beltrami getting album credits on Buckmaster tracks and of course, This I Love.

Inept liner notes? Frankensteined songs with some of Beltrami's work buried in the CD mix?

The full Village Sessions didn't leak. We're actually lucky we got as much as we did.

So much time has transpired I've forgotten more than I remember.

I do know this...

The fan base came awfully close to getting it all the summer of 08. Cooler (shittier) heads prevailed and we got the 07 song leaks + 3 bonuses(If the World, Riad, and Prostitute) while the rest got hoarded.

Kinda funny, ironic, whatever, that the album itself  months later would be the leaks + 3 bonuses.

It really pisses me off knowing that both albums have been in circulation since 2004 and the fan base as a whole should've been listening to it all since 07-08.

They may have circulated even earlier on the Velvet Rope. That is the nexus for a lot of this stuff. It was conveniently written out of the narrative for GNR forum consumption.

The wrong people got access to all those songs.

Didn't all this stuff almost leak out in 2011 or 12?  I don't remember enough details on that to even comment. I was fading away from the forums at that point. It was during that Red Panda crap.

Unfortunately I don't remember the exact track list but a big clue is probably that one MSL email thing that came out a couple years later that contained a list of CD II tracks.

Yes it needs to come out. One major hoarder has already died. There's no more songs to acquire. It's just pure selfishness that keeps it all hoarded.

For shits and giggles..

If you could pick one:

Second half of Skwerl or the rest of the Locker Leak?
Must read for anyone wanting to know the truth.

@Slugworthis one of my oldest friends in the community and has never misled me or given me bad information.

I make mistakes but my intentions are good the state of grace being the general or even 4 heavens which i later corrected and even made sheeeit radio episode about explaining that it's 4 different versions of kohd.

We are telling you that all the village sessions disc didn't leak.

(Rick and Walker didn't get them all)

Slugworth breaks down above what happened during the Skwerl leak.

Do I need to start another Disc 21 Dragon fake Atlas leak shitposting campaign
I honestly have no clue about Dragon. Rick swears by it and there was a document with it that looked official but could be fake. No one else with any credibility has mentioned Dragon to me.

But yeah bro there are songs still out there and i doubt we will ever get anything new from from the current band. Only cd leftovers.

What is the insider consensus on Oklahoma? Does a version with vocals exist? That and an official Monsters/Atlas release are about all I genuinely care about at this point. State of Grace is great but would need another vocal take to be releasable and I highly doubt that ever happened.

Based on the interviews below and Axl later confirming a name change to Berlin, It also appearing on the cd2 tracklist / sellers menu. It should definitely be a completed song.

Axl states that he wrote it so by that logic and how the instrumental sounds on the leaked village disc it's safe to assume he ment the lyrics.

It's on a unreleased village sessions disc with vocals if you want my opinion.

"As the far as the songs go: 'Oklahoma' was pretty much written by the time they got to the studio. Axl wrote that with inspiration from the Oklahoma City bombing (more as a tribute to those who died, if I'm not mistaken). [...] (Dave Dominguez, Sp1at, 02/07/05)

"[Oklahoma] was inspired by a court date with ex-wife Erin Everly. 'I was sitting in my litigation with my ex-wife, and it was the day after the bombing, [April 20th, 1995]' Rose remembers with a wince. 'We had a break, and I'm sitting with my attorneys with a sort of smile on my face, more like a nervous thing - it was like, 'Forgive me, people, I'm having trouble taking this seriously.' It's just ironic that we're sitting there and this person is spewing all kinds of things and 168 people just got killed. And this person I'm sitting there with, she don't care. Obliterating me is their goal.'" (Axl, Rolling Stone, 2000)

It’s so frustrating that the original newgnr with Buckethead didn’t get a chance to release all the stuff they toiled over.  Axl wasted it all, on the other hand his inability to release stuff actually saved my ears from hearing anything with BJ Assbasha pasted on so I should be forever grateful in that sense.

I find it really difficult to think UMG would invest in releasing CD2 after the bestbuy debacle, the shit 12-14 lineup, add to this the band were on the verge of playing bowling alleys and county fairs.

They wernt exactly raking in the touring money and being the top touring band during this time.

Maybe UMG would agree with releasing CD2 but with the reunion happening first as a carrot stick to Axl.

The CD2 album photos would show a tophatted guitarist and new fans would think Assba was Slash.
