He hasn't composed a decent song since the Illusions era, over 30 years ago.

All of the CD era material is this cringe worthy, self obsessed, nursery rhyme, garbage, with a self important belief in his own profound insight.

There is nothing profound about it at all though. It's embarrassing shit.

All the songs just labour along, mired in bad production, awful synthetic sounding vocals and worse guitar parts.

Even the song titles are trash.

Izzy was right to walk away from this shitshow.

Guy's brain broke in 1993 and never recovered - he only reconciled with Slash because NewGNR's future was playing bowling alleys and county fairs, and that wouldn't have provided enough money to keep his fantasy world alive

I know Axl threw a shitfit and had the original demo deleted, but someone in Hollywood must have the version they submitted to the producers of What Dreams May Come in 1998

The engineer said the demo had Axl whispering "I love you, Stephanie" in the background over and over
